Say hello to Sherlanda, who lives in shocking impoverishment in Northern Haiti. She lives in a tiny home with no running water or electricity. Her mother works odd jobs to try and provide for Sherlanda and her 5 siblings. In a good month, her mother can make up to $35. At night, she sleeps on the floor on the cold concrete floor, putting her at even greater risk of illness and disease.  

Sherlanda is smiling here, but her eyes tell a different story of hardship and pain. Her parents have many medical issues that deeply affect Sherlanda. Despite her current situation, she shyly revealed to us that she can be somebody when she grows up.
