Amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the B&M Foundation's Haiti team stood committed to providing essential support to families in need. On July 16th and 17th, 2020, the team instituted a series of impactful food distributions, bringing aid, relief, and a sense of community to those affected.
Day 1: A Personal Touch in Port Margot
The first day of our COVID-19 relief efforts took us to Port Margot, where we visited a family that holds a special place in our hearts. This family is home to two of our sponsored students, and their well-being was our priority. We donated food supplies and funds for much-needed medical assistance. This personalized approach was a reminder that the B&M Foundation is not just an organization; we're a community that cares deeply about the individuals we support.
Day 2: Nourishing Cape Haitian Families
On the 17th of July, our efforts expanded to Cape Haitian, where we carried out a food distribution initiative. This day was about reaching out to the broader community, recognizing that the impacts of the pandemic extended beyond individual households. A total of 15 families were served, receiving essential food supplies that would help sustain them during these challenging times.
